I Think Manchester United Make More Impact on Social Media Than in Football Pitch Says Patrice Evra After Defeat by Crystal Palace

Patrice Evra, the former Manchester United defender who is currently a pundit with Sky Sport couldn’t hold back his dissatisfaction over a shocking defeat by Crystal Palace. Evra confessed that he is 'tired' of Manchester United's monotonous performances against Crystal Palace and he went further to call on Man United board on a need to sign new players after their defeat.

Manchester United got a shocking 1-3 defeat at Old Trafford in their first Premier League match of the season. They were looking so dull in attacking and at the same time their defence lines could help the situation either.

Patrice Evra, one of the fans favourite players under Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United, has disclosed that he is 'tired' when making comments concerning Man United and he feels there is a lot of pessimism around the club.

Below are his comments;

'Lacking everything, mainly the cohesion,' he said on Sky Sports. 'I can't say first game as an excuse. Crystal Palace had no fear and came to destroy Man United.

'There is so much negativity around the club such as the transfers and the club don't do anything about it.

'It feels like deja vu and I'm tired, I'm a positive man but I feel exhausted after the first game of the season so good luck to all the Man United fans.'

Former French international feels it may be a long and tough season for his former club, adding that many Man United supporters will feel disillusioned about their transfer activity this summer.

'It would be difficult this season. We can see in the transfer window; a lot of United fans are disappointed.

“I think we make more impact on social media and in the papers than reality. Because in the end, we buy no players, or at least Van de Beek.

'But we need more, after Bruno Fernandes, I was expecting more, like a lot of Man United fans.'

As it stands now, Man United have just three weeks to complete their transfer business for this summer, with the club hoping to complete Jadon Sancho move before the closure of the summer transfer window this year.
