Romelu Lukaku’s Got €500K Fined Despite Apology Over His Controversial Outburst Sky Interview

According to the report coming from Chelsea football club Twitter official handle, Romelu Lukaku has made grovelling apologies to the fans after his outburst interview where he complained of not being happy under his manager Thomas Tuchel at Chelsea and he wouldn’t mind a return to his formal club Inter Milan.

Below are his statements while apologizing to the entire club, fans and the manager

'To the fans, I'm sorry for the upset that I caused. You guys know the connection that I have had with this club since my teenage years so I totally understand you guys being upset,' said Lukaku.

 

'Obviously, it's up to me now to restore your trust and I'll do my best to show commitment every day on the training ground and trying to make sure we win games.

 

'To the manager, I apologised and I said it to my teammates and the board because I think it was not the right moment (to do the interview).

 

'I want to move forward from this and make sure that we start winning football games and I perform for the best team in the best manner.'

 

Meanwhile, some of the club fans were happy to push the incident behind them, while others weren't so happy with what he said and how the interview with the club came through.

Another Twitter user described his apology as 'false and embarrassing'.

 

Saj Rahman insisted that Lukaku should stop talking and do his speaking on the pitch.
